SENIOR FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Job Description and Requirements

JOB PURPOSE
Effectively managing all financial tasks, overseeing budgeting and accounting, ensure effective execution of Revenue and collections policies and procedures related to services rendered by 'our Group'
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION 
Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance with 10 to 15 years relevant experience in a similar post in a large and active service organization.
Internationally recognized accountancy qualification CPA - ACA, ACCA, CIMA
KEY RESULTS ACCOUNT ABILITIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Financial accounting and reporting

I.Incorporation of a Shared Service Center for the Group and centralize the accounting function as much as possible in a low cost location.
II.Implementation of monthly balance sheet reconciliation procedures, ensuring a fully reconciled group balance sheet on an ongoing basis
III.Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.

  • Payroll preparation and administration

Prepare all payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Audit & Administration Coordination

Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit.

  • Budget preparation

Prepare the annual budget in consultation with the Managing Director & for any funding activity.

  • Performance Management & Development

Supervise a large accounting team who are responsible for daily operation of the accounting and finance function
 

  • General

Prepare monthly reports showing achievements of work progress including statements, statistics, impediments and difficulties faced and any recommendation for the improvement and development of work and refer it to the Group General Manager.

  • Excellent 'Time Management & Interpersonal Skills'; Analytical thinking
  • Excellent command in English
  • Excellent knowledge of Accounting Package such as ERP Oracle
  • Excellent knowledge of financial analysis, studies and audit reviews management functions
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Decision making skills to evaluate alternative
  • Ability to manage teams & work under pressure
