BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Description and Requirements

Job Purpose:
Implement Group Strategy Policies & Procedures and builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Pilots new businesses and opportunities within the existing activities of the Group
  2. Drives business development stage gate process by developing concept assessments, feasibility studies and financial forecasts (with the support of the CXO Financial Advisor)
  3. Leads business development projects to reach go/no-go decisions, ultimately ensures successful handover to the Leadership.
  4. Acts as Client to all Strategy, BSC and Bus performance-related matters.
  5. Serves as the senior advisor to the CXO on new business opportunities.
  6. Reports BSCs and Initiatives performance-related matters.
  7. Maintains CXO business development pipeline.
  8. Develops all materials and make recommendations relating to new business development within existing activities.
  9. Leverages internal (SBU/BU managers) and external expertise to validate business plans.
  10. Tracks performance of executed projects and follows up with new business owner when required.
  11. Scouts for external partnerships and relationships to source new opportunities or seek expansion of current activities.
  12. Undertake analyses of CXO group to identify synergies of CXO group to identify synergies and operational improvement opportunities across \SBU/Bus.


Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelors Degree holder or equivalent professional qualification in the related field
  • Proven track record in sales, business development and winning new business
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
  • Show an understanding of the challenges facing the industry at present and illustrate a knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed within the industry.
