Job Description and Requirements
Minimum Qualification of the Post
  • BSc (Science) with 5 yrs. of experience or M.Sc Chemistry with 2 years experience
  • Preferably 2 yrs. In a petrochemical lab
  • Should have good understanding of lab HSSE & PPE requirements and ASTM methods
  • Knowledge of Windows and MS office
  • Good working knowledge of the equipments used in lubricant testing lab
Authority of Post Holder
  • Testing & releasing of all incoming raw materials & finished good
  • Blend correction advice to a non-conforming blend to production
  • Access to JDE system ( Lab Modules )
  • Access to SMB blending system ( Lab Modules )
  • Refusal and/or stop a work due to HSSE constraint(s)
  • Access to LIMS
  • Data entry into SQC system
Primary Responsibilities
  • Meets and exceeds the quality objective set by the management
  • Assist QAM & Lab Supervisor in implementation of QP&G ,and offtaker's QA systems
  • Ensures that the requirements for the daily blending program are carried out in the lab
  • Ensures that the blend, line, bulk & raw material samples are released as per the agreed KPIs
  • Ensures timely updating of the test results in the LIMS computer system
  • Ensures the use of PPE as per the requirement in the lab
  • Ensures that the test data and documents are released as per agreed time with production
  • Participates in development work for the offtakers in a timely manner
  • Carries out SQC testing and updates documentation and results in the computer system
  • Participates & facilitates QP&G internal & external assessment processes
  • Updates the MSDS information for the production and planning dept.
  • Updates JDE & LIMS against formulations received from offtakers
  • Works in shifts as per shift schedule for the chemists
  • Assist QAM in the absence of Lab Supervisor
Shared Responsibilities
  • Participates in the departmental & common meetings as per company's plan
