Technical Supervisor- Catering Services

Job Description and Requirements

Transguard- Catering Services is now looking to hire a Technical Supervisor who will be responsible for functional requirements of Technical department in order to ensure a proper, smooth, optimum and efficient operation of the plant and Technical systems for three shifts operation. The role will encompass coordination with Internal and external stakeholders with a major focus on people's and product's safety, hygiene, and Operations performance. The role will be shift based and the job holder will work in day/night shifts to assist the food point engineering team, to achieve continuous improvements in plant availability, plant performance and staff productivity through an effective maintenance management system.

The responsibilities are given below,

  • Ensure Compliance to Food Safety guidelines and policies
  • Responsible for the proper operation, efficiency, safety and maintenance of utilities such as, ammonia refrigeration systems, steam boiler operation & distribution system, thermal oil heater and circulation system, propane fuel storage and distribution system, air compressor operation, and effluent treatment plant operation and factory sewage system through effective regular & preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure safe working practices and procedures are implemented in accordance with the QHSE policies
  • Planning, scheduling and delivering cost-effective maintenance service to Food Point operations through an efficient and effective planned preventive maintenance system
  • Management and maintenance of facility and staff amenities by regular inspections and preventive maintenance program
  • Constant follow-ups with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers for ongoing projects and material delivery and coordinate with operations on status to ensure that the design and actual deliverables match as per standards.
  • Handling of occupational safety software (SALAMA) and mandatory documentation related to safety for FP Engineering (Assigning task, Making Random Inspections, Close out of observation, Risk Assessment, Method of Statement and NCR).
  • Monitor subordinate’s performance on a regular basis, provide guidance whenever required and advise the superiors regarding the employees’ training needs
  • Monitor and review daily operations data sheet and checklist to ensure all targets are achieved in the generation of utilities and ensure that parameters are according to established operating guidelines and procedures

Skills

  • The ideal candidate will have,
  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a technical field, preferably food manufacturing, food services or FMCG industry
  • Fixed Assets Maintenance responsibilities (including exposure to preventive maintenance planning and maintenance execution)  
  • Understanding of Electronics, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary teams aiming to process or packing optimization
