PACKAGING DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Description and Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Operations, Finance and Quality, to implement the requirements related to Packaging.
  • Prepare the Annual Budget for both Capex & Revenue expenses based on the Brand/ Project Requirements . Monitoring the expenses & managing the resource allocation.
  • Conduct Packaging Vendor Audits, Prepare reports, highlight action points & ensuring the closure of action points.
  • Interpret, Develop & Issue robust Technical Specifications, Procedures & Standards and making sure that they are consistently applied at the Vendor's manufacturing locations.
  • Ensure that all the Packaging components /systems adhere to package specifications and country specific safety & regulatory requirements.
  • Creating Packaging Material (PM) codes in SAP & Formulating the Bill Of Materials (BOM) for the packaging requirements of each Product.
  • Provide technical support to packaging specific Customer Complaints & work towards continual improvement.
  • Drive the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiates related to Packaging Material Sustainability and Ensuring the Responsible & Sustainable Sourcing of packaging materials from Vendors.
  • Mould Development & Commissioning.

Exeperience:

  • 10 + years in development of Client Packaging Material in the Personal Care industry.
  • Should be well networked within Client /personal care product development circle for sourcing ready components from U.S. & other markets.
  • Strong awareness of global consumer trends, preferences and technological advancements
  • Good analytical skills.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Packaging, Engineering or a related field.
  • Post graduate degree in Packaging / Plastics / Printing a plus.
