GENERAL MANAGER - SCHOOL

Job Description and Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates schools' status & identifying their strengths & weaknesses in order to improve their level of administrative & technical support.
  • Prepares yearly Client forecast (for teachers, technicians, administration, and support staff); to recruit them whenever required.
  • Prepares the general policy of the training programs required to improve school teachers' & support staff performance and effectiveness in their fields in the right time.
  • Supervises the implementation of all programs required for schools on individual and group basis.
  • Supervises the preparation of database and filing systems for schools' students, teachers and support staff.
  • Evaluates the overall financial planning process, and consults with the concerned Senior Team and Governors to prepare a realistic and balanced budget for assessing schools' needs (furniture, equipment and supplies) in order to achieve schools' goals on time.
  • Supervises the preparations needed to start the educational year on time. Prepares schools' plans, activities and working schedules as well as forms students' councils as per schools' requirements.
  • Conducts performance appraisal for managerial positions and administrative staff as per the process.
  • Ensures that the performance appraisal is conducted for school teachers and support staff by their direct managers.
  • Communicates with students' parents to update them on their children performance as well as informs them about the obstacles that are facing their children based on the evaluation of their tutors.
  • Supervises students' evaluations and analyses them through the committees in order to find ways to improve their overall educational performance.
  • Communicates with the local communities through local community committee to generate schools' financial support in order to achieve schools' technical and administrative support.
  • Cooperates and communicates with the councils which supervise schools performance (such as: Parents & Teachers' councils) to achieve schools' objectives.
  • Ensures that the schools are well secured, maintained and proper health & safety requirements are followed. Maintains records of school maintenance & ensures schools are in good condition.

Minimum Requirement:
  • Should have a Masters degree in Education, PHD will be an added advantage.
  • Should have relevant experience in UAE.
  • Should be from Arab origin (fluency in Arabic written & oral is a must).
