Director ICT Product Marketing

Job Description and Requirements


•Manage a team responsible for the marketing of the product(s) and solutions driving awareness across both the ICT sales team and Enterprise sales team including lead generation •Ambassador for the ICT business at trade shows, analyst events and partner events •Collaborate with Brand & Comms. team to ensure ICT is represented at relevant trade shows and industry events •Manage a team responsible for the creation the content of marketing materials (ie. collateral, whitepapers, etc.) •Ensure materials are business outcome orientated vs pure feature function and target the actual buyer personas •Work proactively with analyst and media community to ensure that we are tracking market trends and influencing positioning in any magic quadrants or analyst reports positively •Responsible for creating collaboratively with the product teams new business cases, marketing plan, and product roadmap •Operates the team responsible for working with product managers on new business cases to take to finance for approval •Responsible for building a viable partner eco system that complements the 3 year vision / road map •Accountable for owning the strategic partner relationships and maintaining it to ensure value creation for both companies •Responsible for execution and achievement of partner business cases and business objectives / metrics  •Fosters a culture within the team of innovation and encouragement to be the best in the industry •Work with HR to maintain in depth subject matter expertisetraining in products/technology including relevant certifications if required, to ensure customer relevance and thought leadership

Qualifications, experience, and skills

Minimum Education:

•Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (i.e Business Administration, Engineering, IT, etc)  •MBA is a preferred


Minimum Experience:

•Minimum 15 years of total work experience in ICT related fields in sales/marketing and business development

•Minimum 5 years leading teams during growth cycle of existing business unit

•Minimum 5 years product marketing experience for ICT products 

•Proven experience of working with media and maintaining analyst relations

•Proven experience of building and maintaining alliance partnerships

•Ability to think strategically and holistically •Solid ICT business acumen with structured and analytical thinking •Conscious of long-term cross-functional cause & effect in key decision-making situations •Strong relationship management, cultural intelligence (CQ) and influencing techniques •Natural Leader and a “team player” •Deep knowledge of market trends related to ICT business and digital transformation •Good foresight and proactive solution finder
