SPECIALIST, QUALITY ASSURANCE (CHEMICALS)

Job Description and Requirements
Job requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other relevant disciplines
  • 10-12 years varied experience in Corrosion and ProcessEngineering in the oil and gas industry with thorough knowledge ofcorrosion prevention procedures and practices, chemical treatments, including laboratory operations.
  • Experience in auditing, spot checks,investigation, and root cause analysis.Experience with ISO 9001& 14001 are preferred. 
  • 7 years in a supervisory capacity in Quality assurance,development of quality systems, procedures, leading and motivating the qualityteam members and training and development of new members particularly UAE Nationals.
  • Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001 and ISO 17025with good knowledge in international codes API, ASME, ISO 9001, ISO 17025, NACE etc

Job description

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff onrelevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
  • Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plansto deliver Section objectives.
  • Investigate and highlight any significantvariances tosupport effective performance and cost control.
  • Implement approved Section / Departmentpolicies, processes,systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s/ Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved PerformanceObjectives for the Section / Department in line with the CompanyPerformanceframework.
  • Design and implement new tools and techniquesto improve thequality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processesagainst bestpractices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISOstandards in orderto define intelligent solutions for issues confronting thefunction.
  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures& controlsand applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and company Code of Practices.
  • Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
