Position Summary
Faculty provide effective Health Sciences instruction in Medical Imaging, Social Work, Medical Laboratory Science, Paramedic, Veterinary Science and Health Information Management . Curriculum is taught to second language learners within a student-centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and their traditions. Faculty play an important role in assisting with the development and preservation of system-wide and directorate-specific policies, and are viewed as active participants in academic and extra-curricular events at the College and within the community.

Adjunct Faculty are temporary teaching staff employed within the college to enhance student learning, and who bring with them a wide array of practical knowledge and varied experience. To be considered for an adjunct position, candidates must reside in the UAE and be able to provide the HCT with a 'no objection certificate' (referred to as an NOC letter) from your visa sponsor. Adjunct faculty are paid monthly for credit hours.


In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

  • A Master's Degree in Science or relevant Health Sciences field is required.
  • Ph.D. Degree preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years Health Sciences teaching/training experience within a relevant educational/clinical setting; OR a minimum of 2 years teaching/training combined with at least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience within a relevant field of Health Sciences
  • Current knowledge of industry practices, trends and issues (specific knowledge with regards to healthcare services and related education programs in the Middle East would be advantageous)
  • Overseas teaching/training experience to non-native English speakers is desirable
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
