Petroleum Resources Analyst

Job Description and Requirements

As the successful candidate you will have a Bachelors’ degree in Geology, Petrophysics, or Geophysics. Preferably, you will hold a Masters’ degree and PHD.  

You will have 10+ years’ industry experience, preferably this experience will have been acquired in a Major or Independent oil company.

Advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA is a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:

Analyze resources data geographically and its changes, trends through time over several decades. 

Forecast petroleum resources changes based on the resource analyses and the company’s investment, business and operation plan activities. This includes seismic data acquisition, processing, interpretation, prospect generation and drilling. 

Identify uncertainties, quantify them, identify risks and propose risk mitigation plans. 

You will help develop specialized resource assessment database systems, and on short notice, integrating and analyze resources data to answer specific questions for reporting to senior management. This includes making informative graphics to convey often complex messages simply.
