Public Relations Specialist

Job Description and Requirements

Ability to work independently and initiate actions to advance the capabilities of the Corporate Communication function to support evolving and dynamic business environment.
Collaborate with internal, affiliated partners or external stakeholders to capture effective and content –rich messaging and narratives and integrate into communications strategies/plans.
Employ and interpret stakeholder data and insights to prompt or influence stakeholders to desired behaviors, enhanced levels of awareness, or produce other measurable and definitive outcomes.
Develop and present strategies to executive and functional leadership.
Independently problem-solve, overcome challenges, and take action to facilitate development and delivery of BCPD communications products, while supporting a wide variety of corporate and business-line actions.
Independently conduct required research to develop key insights and support the development of communications strategies, messaging and other products.
Work horizontally and vertically within organizational matrix and build productive and reciprocal long-term relationships.
Produce graphics (e.g., tables, charts, etc.) or other illustrative, supporting content for use in presentation format (PowerPoint).
Understanding of statistical inferences to support trend-based analysis.
Serve in back-up capacity for other team members, as necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities:
10 or more years of experience in Public Relations, communications, or a related field.
Preference given to energy or chemicals sector experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Public Relations preferred.
Expert English writing skills.
Superlative analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
Strong business acumen and familiarity.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft applications (I.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
