Business Systems Analyst

Job Description and Requirements

A bachelor degree in engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering.

At least 10 years of professional experience within refining or petrochemicals, focusing on planning and economics, with at least 5 years of experience in operations. Previous Linear Program experience; Process Industry Modeling System (PIMS) experience is highly desirable. 

Ability to communicate and present to management the outcome of economic analysis with deep understanding on investment analysis, including build up to Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) related to profitability improvement and growth. 

Proficiency using personal computers, advanced spreadsheet applications.

Fluency in English language, both verbal and written.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:

Develop business cases to support profitability and growth targets.  

Develop prefeasibility studies for new business and integration opportunities.

Conduct evaluations as part of Investment Plan development at corporate level.

Coordinate the development of facility master plan with a focus on capital investments for growth.

Develop value assurance process for economic evaluation and business cases of capital projects throughout life-cycle. 

Participate in value engineering sessions to maximize economic realization for projects.

Conduct Linear Program (LP) studies for business case definitions and sensitivity study with incorporating study cases into Linear Program (LP).

Perform economic evaluation and rigorous financial modeling/analysis to identify value creation opportunities that align with the company’s strategic objectives. 

Coordinate benchmarking studies and gap analysis.
