Equity Compensation Program Specialist

Job Description and Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources, or a closely related discipline.  

  • You will have 8 years experience in Compensation & Benefits working for either an oil and gas company or a major consultancy. Equity compensation experience desirable but not essential.
  • You will be able to clearly and concisely express ideas and opinions orally and in writing, and develop and deliver visually engaging and informative presentations.
  • You will be able to demonstrate leadership and ability to take the initiative, lead others, and resolve conflict in a team environment.  
  • Possess strong oral communication and consulting skills with a proven ability to guide and shape management thinking. 
  • Strong English language business and technical writing. Have the ability to manage multiple interests, competing agendas, and deliver results when needed. Demonstrate ability to manage complex projects and priorities and translate complex pieces of information into meaningful conclusions and results. 
  • Demonstrate ability to get the best out of others by inspiring and influencing them, building bonds and resolving conflict for mutual benefit. 
  • Show awareness and understanding of business situations and leading financial indicators with strong adherence to the rules and standards of moral conduct in the workplace, as well as demonstrate ability to think globally and work with diverse groups and cultures internationally.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following: 

  • Develop and administer equity based compensation programs. 
  • Support global compensation program development. 
  • Support short- and long-term incentive program development. Develop cost estimates for equity compensation programs. 
  • Support development and administration of salary surveys. 
  • Manage relationships with suppliers of market data. 
  • Develop knowledge of the petroleum industry market. 
  • Develop knowledge of labor law and government regulations. 
  • Develop complex communications and management of change.
