Job Description and Requirements

 

VINIRMA Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is a 360° Human Resource Management Consulting and Staffing Services Organization with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Australia, USA, Singapore & India.

 

We are currently looking for Application Support Specialist – FTI (Fusion Trade Innovation) for one of our clients which is a Qatar based Information Technology Consulting and Services company for their long-term assignment.

 

COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

 

1. Educational Qualifications:

 

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field

 

2. Experience:

 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in FTI functional and technical support, ideally within a financial services environment

  • Strong English and, preferably Arabic language skills

Role Objective

 

Play a key role in the IT department, responsible for FTI Trade application and modules to ensure the high availability of the applications, maintain the standards adopted by the management and compliance with the regulatory authorities, co-ordinate with different business unit of the bank and different service providers to ensure the high-quality services and maximize the utilization of the bank resources. Implementation of new projects & enhance the functionality of the applications to improve the overall service quality & efficiency of the bank.

 

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities

 

FINANCIAL

 

  • Implementation of new products and enhance the application functionality to improve the bank services and to meet compliance requirement.

  • Proactively monitor and identify potential risks and issues, take necessary actions in advance to reduce any application downtime.

 

CUSTOMER

 

  • Understands users’ requirements and analyze in Technical and Functional perspective, suggest the possible solution, workaround for the requirements, issues and queries.

  • Provide Technical and Functional support during the project lifecycle for the FTI Trade related projects.

  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with all staff across all Divisions to understand and address their application issues and queries and resolve

 

INTERNAL

 

  • Provide Technical and Functional support for internal and external users for the following systems or applications;

 

  • FTI Trade Application

  • All FTI modules

  • All FTI interfaces (with Equation and with other systems)

  • All FTI In house applications

  • Others as requested

 

  • Maintain a high degree of customer service. Take ownership for ensuring timely and accurate responses with appropriate resolutions

  • Escalate complex issues and consult as applicable

  • Attend all Technical and Functional meetings held to discuss the applications / systems with which you work

  • Conduct business analysis, Gap analysis, and impact analysis.

  • Prepare test cases, test scenarios and test plans.

  • Conduct all types of functional testing and SIT.

  • Support UAT and Go Live.

  • Propose ideas for the modification of existing systems in response to new applications and changing business requirements to the Business Development Manager

  • Be willing to take on additional ad hoc projects over and above the day to day tasks

  • Share common issues with wider team to share knowledge, particularly those working on the help desk

  • Ensure daily back up procedures are implemented and system / application maintenance is completed in line with internal policies / procedures

  • Conduct a weekly health check of servers

  • Ensure sufficient documentation of all activity is maintained

  • Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information

  • Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required

  • Perform regular health check and maintenance of the applications environments.

 

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

 

  • Prepare sufficient documentation for new products and issues and Share knowledge with other the team members.

  • Meeting with application consultants during implementation of projects and develop knowledge base in order to provide supports to the users when required.

  • Operate as a team player within the Business Development team and across the wider IT division. Share knowledge with others to strengthen capability of the team

  • Maintain a focus on self-development by spending time reading and researching competitor activity, recent innovations and best practice
