Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of Chief of Mission and Emergency Coordinator and the direct supervision of
Operations Officer the incumbent will be responsible for deliverables outlined in the following sections:


Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Support to the overall preparation and implementation of programme activities (common cash  facility-CCF, refugee movements, etc.);
  • Develop project management tools and related documentation for ongoing and upcoming projects
  • Develop technical documents for contract management including RFQs, specifications, scope of work and technical bid analysis etc.
  • Support operations and related paperwork in compliance with donor requirements and IOM internal procedures and processes;
  • Coordinate and provide logistic support in conjunction with internal and external meetings/workshops/training among the different components of the programme;
  • Support the development of new programmatic opportunities and project proposals and initiatives, by collecting, systematically organizing and analyzing information in support to project development activities;
  • Comply with IOM programmatic, administrative and financial regulations and procedures;
  • Act as back-up to the CCF and movement operations staff;
  • Perform other duties that might be assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education & Experience

  • Completed university degree from an accredited academic institution in Civil or Structural Engineering with three years of relevant professional experience OR High school with Five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Broad sector knowledge and/or field experience in the areas of coordination, shelter, disaster risk reduction and management, humanitarian reform;

Languages

  • Fluency in English language and Arabic language is required.
