Finance Director

Job Overview

The Finance Director will be responsible for the overall management of the Finance and Accounting functions.

Responsibilities

 

  • Planning, developing and monitoring the transactions in relation to the finance Department and ensures the strategy complies with the overall company’s business strategy.
  • Maintaining control over all financial transactions.
  • Ensuring that there is a good daily, weekly, monthly control over the transactions.
  • Reviewing Transactions that are in line with the policy.
  • Reviewing the annual budget and involve in the discussion with the top managements to make the necessary adjustment, if necessary.
  • Directing the employees in day-to-day operations.
  • Managing the company liquidity.
  • Developing and enforce policies to minimize risk
  • Ensuring that the company reports its financial position in line with the General Accepting accounting principle.
  • Involving in a decision-making in terms of expansion of business etc.
  • Reviewing the projects’ plan and budget as well as maintaining them.
  • Reviewing and owns overseeing included in reviewing the annual budget after having the appropriate approval from the Board of Directors.
  • Reviewing the accounting and ensuring the department budget aligned with Business Strategy policies procedures roves the Finance & Accounting policies, procedures, standards and guidelines to be in accordance with the business needs and addresses instances of non-adherence to these policies and procedures.
  • Managing the closing of Financial Statement in monthly, quarterly and year Basis.
  • Ensuring that the reconciliations are performed in a monthly and Quarterly Basis.
  • Responds to inquiries from the Group Financial Controller and Operation managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests.
  • Work with the Auditors to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit and to file the Zakat/Vat returns.
  • Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advice on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
  • Develops and maintains internal control procedures, and implements an efficient and timely reporting system.
  • Advises top management on capital structure options for the company.
  • Ensure that financing and equity options are available for Capital Expansions.
  • Manage disbursement of approved transactions and liaise with operations and other relevant internal and external parties to ensure timely deployment of funds.
  • Manage collections and regular reporting on outstanding receivables portfolio.

 

Key Skills

 

  • Highly commercial with regard to optimizing revenue, minimizing costs and balancing risks.
  • Experience within the Retail industry is highly desirable
  • Demonstrable success building and developing finance functions.
  • Successful application of an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics desirable).
  • Project management and continuous improvement skills.
  • Presentation and strong communication skills.

 

Essential Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Accounting Certification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, etc.
  • At least 10 years in total
  • Minimum 3 years in a Finance Director level position
  • Must have experience in Real Estate and Investments Companies
  • Open to male Saudi and Arabic speaking nationals based in KSA now with Transferable Iqama

 

Salary/Compensation

 

  • Salary to be used as a guide only and will reflect experience levels and interview performance
  • Salary is up to 30k SAR per month total package
  • Plus excellent benefits
