Registrar’s Assistant

Job Purpose

 

To efficiently and effectively communicate and implement approved policies, procedures, and practices as appropriate for the Department of the Registrar.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Respond proactively to student / parent issues and concerns.
  • Works with other staff members to ensure a smooth and timely on-line and regular pre-registrationprocess.
  • Maintains the student information system and effectively utilize CampusVue under the guidance and oversight of the Registrar.
  • Supports the functions of Enrollment Services under the oversight of the Registrar.
  • Report any problems relating to CampusVue to the Registrar.
  • Respond to requests from the academic schools as assigned by the Registrar (Scheduling / Information/ reports… etc.)
  • Keeps students records up-to-date by processing student status changes and student requests in atimely manner.
  • Perform day-to-day support duties associated with students, faculties, and staffs.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality and security protocols of records as required by the Registrar.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Registrar.

  • Ability to learn and adhere to Department of the Registrar policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize AURAK’s Student Information Management Systems.
  • Excellent communications skills, customer service skills, team player with positive attitude.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work afternoons, nights, and weekends as assigned.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Ability to work afternoons, nights, and weekends as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience in Registrar’s Office required; Two (2) or more years of experience preferred.
  • Experience working with faculty and university leaders (provost, Deans, Chairs) to create courseschedule and university catalog preferred.
