SALES MANAGER - DOORS

RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES:
  • To develop and implement long and short term strategies and plans for growing sales within the business area. Specifically this role will need to review our current distributors both externally and internally to ensure the best approach to the various Middle East markets.
  • To motivate and lead your geographically spread team of sales and project managers and continue to build a high performance culture.
  • Close cooperation with the factory and project management team in Skelleftea , Sweden.
  • To lead a professional standards in all communications and services to customers.
  • You will personally be responsible for wining projects sales.
  • Close cooperation with the Product Development Organization to ensure our products and processes stay ahead of the game.
  • The successful candidate should have a broad experience in sales & project management gained within a multi national environment.
  • Experience of large Project Sales is a must.
  • Experience and a proven track record of working with international commercial contracts, terms and conditions are essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directs and coordinates promotion of the company's products and services to develop new opportunities, increase market share, and obtain a competitive position within the industry.
  • Working directly with Architects/Engineers, General Contractors, and other Design/Build firms to promote and consult the proper product and interface design.
  • Planning, directing, and managing various sales activities necessary to promote and close on potential sales.
  • Review incoming leads and develop designs with various A/E's, Military Designers, and Design/Build firms.
  • Define Scope of work. Review plans, specifications, as required. Resolve any discrepancies found in plans & specs. Assist with any other design requirements.
  • Assist customers with cost justification of the product i.e. show and promote value in all cost variables such as: initial costs, maintenance, energy savings, etc.
  • Submit Scope of Work and provide bids at the proper time.
  • Follow up on all bids and opportunities. Work with and negotiate projects with various GC's as necessary to close orders.
  • Forecasting sales, budgets, and strategies necessary to successively compete in this market.
  • Build and maintain list of prospective customers for use as sales leads from various sources such as: trade show meetings, various organizations such as SAME, business/organization directories, etc.
  • Develop relationships and networking partners within the industry to learn more about direction of various opportunities/projects and other vital information within
  • the industry.
  • Travel as necessary to visit with prospective customers, other decision makers within the industry. This includes working with various trade shows and other industry conferences.
  • Provide various 'Lunch & Learn' presentations to various decision makers,
  • influencers, or other relevant industry/Government leaders.
  • Prepare business/trips reports as necessary and maintain expense accounts.
  • Develop yearly/monthly sales plans. Provide summary of Current Situation, Forecast, Trends, Roadblocks, Key Initiatives, and any other relevant information necessary to set and achieve Sales Plans.
  • Collaborate and work with Marketing to help generate leads, development of marketing tools (brochures, case studies, video, web, etc.)
  • Enter new customer data and other sales contact data for current and potential customers into computer database.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Knowledge of complete product line, product design, and have ability to assist with design of new projects.
  • Knowledge of competition
  • Knowledge of reading plans, specifications, and other construction documents necessary to bid on projects.
  • Knowledge of selling skills, practices, techniques and tools
  • Skill in time management, communication and organization
  • Skill in the use of computers Microsoft, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Skillful negotiator
  • Ability to prepare and execute yearly strategic plan
  • Ability to make effective presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and have the confidence to make decisions, manage multi tasks simultaneously and coordinate activity throughout the Americas
  • Ability to understand and succeed in prospect management
  • Ability to value sell
  • Ability to create demand in new arenas and build the marketplace
  • Ability to maintain customer database
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to prepare and present product line to architects, engineers
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • BS in Engineering, Business or related field preferred
  • National Account Sales experience preferred
  • 5+ years sales management experience, selling heavy industrial goods preferred
  • Proven success record in exceeding revenue & margin budget goals
