GENERAL MANAGER

Job Purpose: To maintain the smooth and efficient operation of the Home Appliances business and make it a viable proposition.

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Provide guidance and strong leadership on strategy, business planning and day to day operations to achieve the set goals of the division.
  2. Develop objectives by effective management of Sales, Marketing, Products, Service and Warehouse/Support Teams to ensure profitability for the division.
  3. Communicate values, strategies, objectives & assign accountabilities for increasing effectiveness of the staff.
  4. Develop strategic plan by studying the market trends, technological developments and financial opportunities to explore opportunities for expansion in new market and categories from time to time.
  5. Develop rapport with principals to ensure long term business relationship.
  6. Collaborates with customers, government, community organizations and employees by enforcing ethical business practices, policies and procedures for building the brand image /equity of the company.


Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor in Business Management
  • Minimum 10-12 years of relevant work experience of which 3-5 years in a senior managerial position.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Should be a team leader and able to delegate authority to subordinates.
  • Should be highly result oriented.
  • Good understanding of strategies, conceptual and innovative thinking.
