Adjunct Faculty, Business

Position Summary

Faculty members are responsible for providing effective instruction in General Business subjects and for contributing to at least 2 or more specific areas, such as: Accounting; Financial Services and Banking; Human Resource Management; International Business; Property Development and Management; Quality and Strategic Management; Tourism and Events Management; and Transportation Logistics. The Applied Business Program is highly integrated with Information Technology and Faculty members will need to have highly developed IT skills. By using various learning methodologies that support a learning by doing philosophy, curriculum is taught to second language learners within a student-focused learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and traditions. 

Adjunct Faculty are temporary teaching staff employed within the college to enhance student learning, and who bring with them a wide array of practical knowledge and varied experience. To be considered for an adjunct position, candidates must reside in the UAE and be able to provide the HCT with a 'no objection certificate' (referred to as an NOC letter) from your visa sponsor.

Adjunct Faculty are hired on a semester basis and teaching hours can vary to a maximum of 12 hours per week.

 

Requirements
  • Master's Degree in the relevant discipline is required.
  • PhD in the relevant discipline is desirable.
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching/training experience, preferably at an adult or tertiary level; industrial training and development experience may be considered as relevant experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant industrial experience
  • Must be able to provide instruction at various levels within the program areas
  • Experience in developing course curriculum as per accreditation and international standards
