Social Media Director

Social Media Director needed for a leading company in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media or another related field
  • Master or MBA is a plus
  • 3 – 6 years experience working within a social media role (social account management)
  • Minimum 3 years experience of leading a team
  • Experience in creating ‘social’ content appropriate to different platform dynamics and formats
  • Extensive understanding of all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn etc)
  • Previous experience in working with influencers/ bloggers an advantage
  • Up to date with the latest social media trends, platforms, and algorithms
  • Ability to prioritize a demanding workload and tight timelines
  • Native Arabic speaker with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with good command of English

Job Description:

  • Spearhead the social media team and craft strategic frameworks that align to clients’ organizational and marketing goals whilst being mindful of client values and mission
  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
  • Ensure that every client derives the most value possible from the platform
  • Use social data to research and evaluate potential markets for new product releases, businesses, acquisitions, and further identify customer prospects for the client’s products and initiative
  • Work alongside our internal business development teams to foster new opportunities within existing business, and assist in preparing pitches to win new business
  • Craft digital stories & content for the brand’s digital media platforms to ensure high levels of engagement with the target audience
  • Work with Marketing Account Managers and creative team to conceptualize campaigns that meets the client’s brief and budget
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Maintain an exhaustive knowledge archive of the clients, their business sectors, activities, and industry dynamics
  • Identify, adapt to, and share new social media channels and technologies, in line with industry trends
  • Build strong relationships with ambassadors and influencers to implement strategies to strengthen community engagement
  • Develop and implement dashboard reporting for all social media activity
